Red Shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus)

Class: Aves, Order: Falconiformes, (or Accipitriformes, q.v.), Family: Accipitridae, Subfamily: Accipitrinae, Genus: Buteo, Species: B. lineatus

Sighting:  Pine Oak Forest on banks of Lake Wylie, 7/4/12 12:00 pm Reedy Creek Nature Preserve, Charlotte, NC

Activity: Avoiding a mobbing of Mocking Birds.
