BATS: FRIEND NOT FOE! Time: October 1, 2013 from 7pm to 8pm
Location: Matthews Community Center
Organized By: Christopher North

Event Description:
Tuesday, October 1, 7PM Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell St, Matthews, NC
"BATS: FRIEND NOT FOE". We think of bats as SPOOKY & SCARY, especially this time of year, but they are very valuable to a balanced ecosystem. Join HAWK as Bat Specialist Bonnie Miles puts a face on bats, why we should want them in our backyards and the threats they face. You will see bats in a new light and have a greater appreciation for the contributions this tiny animal makes in our lives.

Bonnie lives in Lynchburg VA, is a licensed bat rehabilitator, a Virginia Master Naturalist and is nationally recognized by Bat Conservation International for her work in bat conservation and public education.
This meeting is free and open to everyone.
